Arlen was previously Chief Executive Officer & General Manager of SMUD until his retirement in October 2020. He has also previously served on the Alliance to Save Energy 50X50 Transportation Commission which was charged with envisioning regulatory, policy, infrastructure and investment pathways to advance clean transportation transformation.

John Absmeier has served as a director of the Company since December, 2020. Currently, Mr. Absmeier serves as the Chief Technology Officer of Woven Planet Holdings, Inc., a subsidiary of Toyota, and oversees Woven Planet’s technical direction, engineering teams and security, and IT divisions. He is a technology forward business leader with 25+ years of experience leading software and technology programs at both start-ups and publicly traded companies globally.

Elise Benoit is the Head of Commercial Communications for Enel X - North America, as well as the VP of Marketing for the company’s e-mobility division. She supports advertising and branding for Enel X’s advanced energy services and drives the e-commerce, product marketing, and go-to-market strategy for its residential and commercial smart EV charging solutions.

Brian is the President and CEO of Alectra Inc., the largest municipally owned utility in Canada. Brian played a major role in the creation and growth of Alectra, which involved a multi-utility merger and the acquisition of another utility. Brian has assumed an active leadership role within the energy industry and has been recognized on several occasions for his leadership.

Barry Broome serves as the President & CEO of the Greater Sacramento Economic Council (GSEC); a public-private partnership that unites business and community leaders to create one cohesive regional economic development strategy with a focus on growth, sustainability, equity and competitiveness. GSEC is led by 45+ CEOs and 20 communities with the mission of driving economic growth.

Henry is currently Chief Strategy/Technology Officer Automotive at Microsoft. He has held multiple technology executive roles in automotive during the last three decades. Prior to Microsoft, Henry had roles as SVP/Global CTO of Flex Automotive, Managing Director of Kia Connected Car/Mobility division and key Product Development leadership roles at Ford.

Caroline Choi is senior vice president of Corporate Affairs at Southern California Edison (SCE), one of the nation’s largest electric utilities, and its parent company, Edison International. Previously, Choi served as senior vice president of Regulatory Affairs as well as vice president of Energy and Environmental Policy at SCE.

Dan has been a pioneer in mobility services for more than 13 years. He’s held leadership roles with Zipcar, General Motors, Ford, and Chariot- where he was CEO. Dan is currently a Board Member and Leadership Advisor for several companies in the EV, Autonomous and last mile delivery space.

For 20+ years, Julia has been a visionary leader at the center of the transformation underway to a carbon-free energy future. Serving as President and CEO of the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) since 2004, Julia has a deep understanding of the electric power sector and strong relationships with hundreds of U.S. utility executives, technology company executives, and policymakers.

Wally is a Managing Director at EnerTech Capital. Prior to EnerTech, he was a Managing Director with Royal Bank of Canada (RBC Capital Partners – $1.2 B fund). He sits on the boards of IPKeys, Powerside and Vertex, as well as the CVCA, Cornell Infrastructure Policy, and the NHL Coaches Association.

Mary Joyce holds the role of global VP and GM of UL’s Mobility and Critical Systems group. Prior to joining UL, Joyce was the VP of Transportation Testing Services at SGS. Joyce spent 20+ years at automotive OEM’s, where she served in a variety of management and technical roles.

Kelly is the President and Chief Finance Officer of the Toyota Research Institute. She previously served as the Vice President of Business Operations at Lyft, Inc. and the Chief Operating Officer and President of YapStone, Inc.

Paul is Chief Executive Officer & General Manager of SMUD. A 40-year SMUD veteran, he has held executive leadership positions. As CEO, Paul spearheaded SMUD’s 2030 Zero Carbon Plan, a flexible road map to eliminate all carbon emissions from SMUD’s electricity supply by 2030, the most ambitious goal of any large utility in the United States. He also currently serves on the boards of numerous regional and national utility and community organizations.

Robert is currently the 8th president of California State University, Sacramento. He was the first in his family to attend college and now his experience in public higher education spans nearly three decades. Robert serves on the boards of directors of multiple Sacramento-based nonprofit and economic development organizations.

Michael is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Terzo Power Systems. He is also a licensed professional engineer with over 20 years of engineering and manufacturing experience and is dedicated to the advancement of innovative and cost-effective designs.
